Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as a reporter/anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston about the police's leniency in DUI cases prompted a State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to the state government imposing more stringent regulations in these cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
