There is a certain amount of uncertainty as we enter the season of summer 2021. That includes how we will serve the community will include the highly-valued human connection that Rotary members have experienced during previous times. While the "hands looking out into space" idea is definitely a the norm in our lives it is clear that the faith in Rotary is growing, and more members are making face-toface connections. Rotary is, however, developed. As we flow through the summer months of 2021 there remains a continuing level of uncertainty about whether our social service includes the highly valued connections between people that were enjoyed by Rotary participants in the past. Although the mantra of hands face space' is sure to be part of our ongoing program, it's clear that the confidence building is evident and face-to-face reconnections are being made. Rotary is, however, having changed. Rotary's network creates relationships that last. The outbreak of the pandemic was our catalyst to embrace the latest technology. This has inspired us to improve our technological techniques. Our business remains on the internet, while introducing a new volunteer and social activities. The new possibilities are paired with our best pre-pandemic practices to provide a fresh and bright prospects for Rotary. Amazingly, our Rotary members have managed to come up with innovative and imaginative solutions for the toughest problems. This is the reason I was so happy to be given the opportunity to become a member of Rotary in 2002. Rotary also has provided me with an excellent group of people who are like-minded.
